Madee Saunders

Clinician

Madee Saunders, MSW

Hi! I'm Madee (she/her), and I believe that therapy should be a place where you feel safe, accepted, and completely free to show up as your whole self.

At the heart of my work is a deep passion for creating space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and valued. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you, honoring your strengths, your story, and your autonomy every step of the way. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults navigating self-esteem, identity, emotion regulation, LGBTQIA+ experiences, family conflict, school stress, trauma, and the everyday weight of just trying to find your footing in a complicated world.

My approach is humanistic, person-centered, and strengths-based, drawing on ACT, DBT, and CBT through a social-justice-oriented, nonjudgmental lens. I strive to meet clients with warmth, curiosity, and genuine care. Whatever you're working through, my hope is that you leave each session feeling a little more empowered, understood, and at home in yourself.

Madee earned her Bachelor of Social Work from East Carolina University and her Master of Social Work from North Carolina Central University. She brings four years of experience working with a nonprofit in school-based settings, providing social-emotional learning for adolescents and supporting whole-family wellness through community-based programs.
