Hi! My name is Jess (she/they), and I am excited to cultivate a space of healing and growth as we work together toward your mental health and life goals.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and that you are the expert in your own experience. My role is to bring curiosity, compassion, and clinical knowledge while working alongside you to explore what feels most helpful and meaningful for your life.
As an MSW intern with Caladrius Therapy, I strive to provide a welcoming and affirming space for people of all identities and backgrounds, and I am especially committed to creating a space where LGBTQIA+ clients can feel safe bringing their full selves into therapy. I believe everyone deserves a space where they can explore their identity, experiences, relationships, and challenges without having to defend who they are. I would be honored to support you in developing greater self-compassion, confidence, and hope.
My goal is to help you recognize and build on the strengths you already carry while developing skills and strategies that fit your unique needs, identity, and experiences. Wherever you are in your journey, I look forward to working alongside you to navigate challenges, explore what matters to you, and build a life that feels authentic and meaningful to you.
When I am not studying or working, you can find me cuddling my cats, taking walks in nature, and enjoying live music. I believe that little things that bring us joy can be just as important as the big ones, and I hope to learn what those things are for you.
Jess earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Clemson University and is completing her Master of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Jess offers appointments via a sliding-scale fee structure through our intern program. They are supervised by Karissa Krapf, LCSW & Krista Hoover, LCMHC.
